To get to Cardiff by public transport you can catch the bus (X16 - takes 1 hour) or, catch the bus to Newport train station (X15 or 151) and then the train to cardiff. See the website for timetables.

Examples

Bus X16 Cwmcarn Library Bus stop– (26 past the hour) Brynmawr to Cardiff

Bus 151 – (every 15 minutes on the hour, quarter past etc) Blackwood to Newport

Bus X15 - Cwmcarn By pass (12 & 42 past the hour) Brynmawr to Newport

NOTE: Cwmcarn Library bus stop is the one in the village just down from the fish shop. Takes 3 minutes to walk here from the house and to go to Newport or Cardiff you need to be at the bus stop that is just down from the fish shop (the other side of the road, the library goes to Brynmawr or Blackwood)

NOTE: Cwmcarn By pass bus stop is not in the village, you have to walk past the Cwmcarn Hotel and then down the next street to the By Pass, the bus stop is on the A467 infront of Grants Garage, about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the house.

Keep on the A4232 towards Cardiff and then leave the dual carriageway at the B4267 exit signposted 'Cardiff (Leckwith) Athletics Stadium'.
